About BarbaraNovember 26, 2007
Although Barbara grew up wanting to work alongside film critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, of the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times, Barbara does get to give her thumbs-up and thumbs-down from her balcony here at Hammock. As our marketing guru, Barbara manages all marketing efforts for Hammock--from corporate branding and promotion, to product and website development. In addition to her internal initiatives, Barbara works with our clients to fulfill their marketing goals-- structuring integrated marketing programs for advertisers, spearheading research projects and consulting on print and digital media strategies. After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Art History, Barbara worked for the auction house Sotheby’s in New York and London before returning to her Southern roots and beloved meat-and-threes. She came to Nashville to attend business school at Vanderbilt University. Subsequently, Barbara provided consulting services to the Oxford American magazine and Hammock before joining our team in 2005. When Barbara's not working you'll find her diligently monitoring her Netflix queue, experimenting in the kitchen with the latest Barefoot Contessa recipe, visiting the newest restaurant in town, or running with her dog Biscuit in the hood (she completed her first triathlon in 2006). |
