Allison joined Hammock in January 2005, feeling like she had come almost full circle—at one point in her career, she worked for Hudson Yards (formerly Group 360, formerly NEC), which is Hammock’s prepress coordinator.
For most of her time here, Allison has worn the deceptively simple title of administrative assistant. At Hammock, this covers everything from processing shipping and mail, tracking sample publications, coordinating advertising for Semper Fi, MyBusiness and American Spirit, processing billing spreadsheets, organizing the library and freelance databases, proofing advertisements, fielding all manner of phone calls, and many more items that are too numerous to name. Allison is quite busy every day.
Allison graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Art. Although her dream of restoring important works of art in Paris didn’t quite work out, she still travels there frequently with her husband and paints in her spare time. She’s also a French history buff, and recently read “Citizens,” an account of the French Revolution by Simon Schama.
When she isn’t traveling or painting, Allison stays busy restoring her 107-year-old house (which was featured on the DIY network's “Restoration Realities”), walking her dogs Greta and Takk, or rocking out at a concert. Allison has been to an impressive 95 concerts (and counting), so I think we can say she also really loves music.
