Hammock Helps NFIB and Sam's Club Launch e-Magazine for 1 Million Small Business Owners

Last week, Hammock launched a special multimedia e-magazine of MyBusiness for our client, the National Federation of Independent Business. The issue will reach over 1 million small business owners across the country. MyBusiness is a bimonthly magazine for the members of NFIB, the leading and most influential advocacy organization representing small and independent business.

The special e-magazine focuses on the 2008 National Small Business Summit, held in Washington, D.C., in June and organized by NFIB and eBay. The biannual Summit is an event that brings together America’s most politically active entrepreneurs and key congressional, administrative and business leaders.

NFIB and Sam’s Club partnered together to bring members this special e-magazine edition. Highlights of the issue include five custom videos featuring speaker John McCain and several Summit attendees as well as a special message and offer from Sam’s Club. The content of the special edition celebrates the event—affirming the trip for those who attended and encouraging others not to miss it next time.

During the Summit, Hammock developed an event website that utilized online social media and conversation tools, including Flickr, YouTube and Twitter. The result connected and gathered small business owners online, building the community and strengthening the association’s bonds with its members.

The two Summit projects—the e-magazine and the association community builder—engaged association members with the event in an innovative and interactive way. Contact us to learn how we can help develop an integrated custom community for your members online that delivers results.
